An ApplicationWas 2KI 22:8 a coincidence? 2KI 22:2 came first, but it's more a summary comment to set the stage. The Bible doesn't say why the book was found during the reign of this king, but it's possible the priests had been hiding this book for generations, waiting for a king who'd do right with it, and after Josiah had reigned from the age of 8 to 26, Hilkiah recognized now was the time. Or perhaps God told him, or, it wasn't being hidden by men but rather by God and He chose now for it to be found.

Connect the Dots2CH 34:21 would include DT 17:18-19, and 2CH 34:24 would include 28:15-20. / Josiah, the 8 year old king here in 2CH 34:1-2, is not to be confused with Joash, the 7 year old king, in 2CH 24:1-2.
